It's right there in my living room! Thank goodness it's relatively contained within a hearth-like structure that's built into the wall of my house. It's also quite fortunate that the smoke from said fire is going straight up a chimney-like shaft running from the floor of my house and out through my roof.
Although this is terrifying, I must admit that it's quite cozy.

and, no...i wasn't laughing at you...i was laughing at the situation and how i could do the same thing and how i'd feel and how i'd be laughing about it when it would've happened. hahaha!
